Congratulations!! to our 2011 Indians 16U PONY Northwest Regional Champions and representative to the PONY Western States Zone Tournament in San Jose. The Indians were one of only 8 teams in the Western United States that played for a berth to the PONY Colt World Series. Special thanks go out to American Legion Post 161 for again supporting both LSBA throughout the season and specifically the Indians in their championship bid.

REGISTRATION FOR NEW LSBA PLAYERS for the 2012 season has begun. Please go to the programs page and select either the Junior Division (ages 12-14) or Senior Division (15-19). Any questions or problems please contact gmeyer@ygnition.com.
REGISTRATION FOR RETURNING PLAYERS: Your coach/manager will coordinated collection of fees and the various paperwork and liability forms you need to sign.
HELP, HELP, HELP!! We need volunteers for the Board. The same people have been running the program for many years. We are a 100% volunteer organization and as such we are able to charge registration fees substantially less than other programs but that means we always need additional volunteers.
Age Change for Both Divisions
The Junior Division will allow 12 year old players on the teams. The web site has been set up to accomodate this change. In addition, the Senior Colt Division will allow 14 year old players to register in the Senior Division. Please make this selection with a lot of thought. Will your player have more fun and learn more at the Junior Division? The LSBA Board only recommends playing up in very few instances. Ask at the skill evaluation if you are thinking about playing up in the Colt Division.
Preformed Teams
Preformed teams whether you have played in LSBA before or not registrations will be handled by your team manager. Their is no need to register on the website.
VOLUNTEER COACHES
We will be looking for volunteers to manage and coach teams once again this year. Please consider taking on this rewarding challenge. Do not use the excuse that you do not know enough about the game. We can give you help if you need it. The last few years came down to the Board of Directors trying to find coaches and managers for the teams wanting to play.
2012 Baseball Season -General Information.
Senior Division Season.
The Senior Division registration also has begun however the actual play does not begin until after High School Ball in the spring. This is intended to allow coordination with the high schools and players on the high school teams to join the LSBA teams later. In the past, some teams with players not on school teams have started practicing earlier and infilling with the school players as possible or after the high school season ends. Keep checking the web site for further information.
Coach Notes
Junior Division Coaches
A Junior Division coaches meeting is pending and will be scheduled for sometime in February. Location to be announced. The meeting is for both Preformed and Open Enrollment Coaches.
Open Enrollment
As always, since we are an entirely volunteer organization we will be looking for managers and coaches for our open enrollment teams. If you have questions about this please call Mike Durr at 425 391-2195. Please give this a try. It is not hard and very rewarding.
Our Philosophy
The primary objective of the Lake Sammamish Baseball Association is to provide young men and women in the greater Issaquah area (i.e. Issaquah, Sammamish, Redmond, Preston and surrounding areas) with opportunities to play on competitive and developmental baseball teams from league age 12 until age 19.
Lake Sammamish Baseball Association is a non-profit organization sponsoring teams that participate in leagues such as Pony Baseball and Babe Ruth League baseball. It is run by a Board of Directors which is staffed entirely by volunteers. The fees collected and distributed are solely for the operation of the league and the Board of Directors are documented so that any person that would like to volunteer can see what area each member is responsible for. We are always looking for more volunteers to help in the program.
Additional geographical areas are being added this year to LSBA and consequently more teams will be formed in Junior and Senior divisions. Junior division teams are comprised of players league age 12 to 14 and Senior division teams are comprised of players league age 14 to 19 who live within the league boundaries and play their games at local playing fields.
Games are staffed by paid umpires. Occasionally, a game will be rained out and we have which should be followed to allow the notification to all involved.
